New Years Beach Centerpiece

Shells and starfish in gold; understated but glamorous at the same time.  Yes, I placed seashells, starfish and glamorous in the same sentence.
Found on MarthaStewart.com
Personally, I love to have flowers on a dinner table (I'd add these).  But these metallic beauties alone on a buffet or beverage table or cocktail tables where your guests mingle- LOVE. If you really want to glam it up, maybe place them on a mirror runner. Oh, how fabulous would these look on a blush pink tablecloth at brunch?
Guess what? Totally DIYable. Instructions on Martha's Site.

Perfect Last Minute Gift

Let's face it, there's always a couple people you don't know what to get for the holidays or you just remembered that you left someone off the list last minute. Trust me I have been there. Well, this simple cookies in a jar idea from Intimate Weddings will do the trick!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup + two tablespoons flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (you can also use pecans)

You can add your own special design flare by choosing different ribbon and paper for the jar or switching up the type of cookie.

Make it Pop

Sometimes the best color is just a tad of color. I love how the red outline makes this program jump out at you!

We found this lovely at Paper Divas; pop on over.
Ha Ha, get it...Pop on over, pop of color?  I know, corny.

I could die right now.  Well, perhaps I will wait to see if I win this stunning clutch over on one of my new favorite pretty places, Postcards & Pretties.  I was in my morning twitter read, and came across her tweet. Clutch screams my name, and I clicked. Tons of loveliness is what I found.
If you haven't been introduced to this pretty little blog, please do allow me to do so for I am enamored.
I just decided enamored is my new favorite word by the way.  I suggest that you follow @postcrdsprettie as well.
Best part- she's giving a clutch away on her blog; so go comment!
Yes, I would carry all of them.  Gray is my favorite foundation color.  Everything seems to look polished on it.  These splendid accessories are by Emma Gordan London.  What's your favorite?

A Pretty and Splendid Gift to Give

Are there still blanks on your to Holiday gift list? Couldn't everyone afford  a "Cup of Cheer"?

This would make a quick and inexpensive gift for the gang at the office or a takeaway favor for a holiday luncheon. You can find cute cups at your local dollar tree and chocolate covered pretzels at your local candy maker.   Starbucks cards- well if I have to tell you where to find those, we have trouble.

Stencil in Your Holiday Party

Here's to Martha! Can you believe these cake stencils are only $4.99? We saw them on the Today Show this week.  If Al Roker can do it, so can I.

It tops my holiday baking list!  Here's the video from the Today Show segment:

Beach Chic Burlap and Starfish Flags

Pretty much burlap and starfish scream beach wedding ceremony.  You can't go wrong.  Look at this find from Etsy.
They can be the perfect finishing touch on almost anything. Me, I see them as the perfect embellishment to the back row of chairs at the ceremony (often neglected).

Pretty Centerpiece of Purple and Green

Sometimes the simplest things are so extraordinary, don't you think?  I came across this centerpiece at Elizabeth Anne Designs during one of my blog reading marathons and decided immediately that I wanted to sit at this table.
Floral Design by Francoise Weeks
I love that the purple linen offers so much of the color and the mostly greenery floral arrangement just touches on it.  You can see more images from this wedding by clicking here for the EAD blog which, by the way, is hands down one of my long time favorites.

Pretty Little Package

I love love and adore pretty packaging.  Here is a blog that is all about it. Proof is in the pictures on the Nice Package Blog.  I confess to spending about an hour going through the archives and drueling.
I did already dive into one of their easy DIY's.  We made the wax paper flowers and put them on the Christmas garland wreaths. They were so easy and look fantastic.

Droolery

I'll take one of each please.

I wonder if I can get these Sushma Patel pieces in time for my first holiday party tonight. I might cry a little if you tell me no.

Many thanks to @GreenWed on twitter (her awesome blog is here) for turning me on to these amazing brooch bouquets!
Now, don't get me wrong - I love fresh flowers.  But these are quite honestly just too beautiful to pass up.  This bouquet is by Fantasy Floral Designs. Try not to drool on the website.

I like Nancy Liu Chin

She's more than talented (Have you seen her work?).  She's nice too.  It's a great combo.
Look what loveliness I found on her blog:
Don't you want to sit there?  I do.
