Wedding Thank You Notes

Just as important as thanking your guests, it is twice as important to thank your vendors! Since you will have so many people to thank after your wedding, a clever card is in order! Browsing wedding sites, which I often catch myself doing, I stumbled across the cutest thank you note idea. As you should know by now, I love photography. I guess it is only natural for me to be head over heals in like with this postcard.
Such a simple, sweet way to thank friends, family, & vendors. The ingredients for this master piece included 2 custom t-shirts (that read Thank You!), your new hubby, a personal camera or web-cam and blank post cards that you can place your picture on. We can always count on Martha Stewart Weddings for great DIY Wedding Ideas!

Wedding Stationery. The super cute kind.

Yes, by now you should know that we love blogging about "simple & pretty things" especially if it is DIY. We have to applaud Sarah the owner of Belletristics for appealing to all three of those categories. We are head-over heals in love with the "Adore" line that is on the Belletristics website.
We have decided that Belletristics loves wedding stationary & graphic design as much as Weddings by Socialites love planning weddings, which is a lot!!
P.S. We made the little favor box as a "test". It's even cuter in person.

Spice up your cocktail hour

If you are looking for an easy way to spice up your at home party, this inexpensive, innovative idea is perfect for you and your significant other.

All you will need is:
Cinnamon
Wine Glasses (you already own)
&
Stencils

On your big day your guests are going to want to toast to you and your honey, having the word "toast" already on the glass will definitely help break the ice.

We love this DIY from Celebrations at Home. To get the original idea and instructions be sure to visit The City Cradle.

New Years Beach Centerpiece

Shells and starfish in gold; understated but glamorous at the same time.  Yes, I placed seashells, starfish and glamorous in the same sentence.
Found on MarthaStewart.com
Personally, I love to have flowers on a dinner table (I'd add these).  But these metallic beauties alone on a buffet or beverage table or cocktail tables where your guests mingle- LOVE. If you really want to glam it up, maybe place them on a mirror runner. Oh, how fabulous would these look on a blush pink tablecloth at brunch?
Guess what? Totally DIYable. Instructions on Martha's Site.

Perfect Last Minute Gift

Let's face it, there's always a couple people you don't know what to get for the holidays or you just remembered that you left someone off the list last minute. Trust me I have been there. Well, this simple cookies in a jar idea from Intimate Weddings will do the trick!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup + two tablespoons flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (you can also use pecans)

You can add your own special design flare by choosing different ribbon and paper for the jar or switching up the type of cookie.

Pretty Little Package

I love love and adore pretty packaging.  Here is a blog that is all about it. Proof is in the pictures on the Nice Package Blog.  I confess to spending about an hour going through the archives and drueling.
I did already dive into one of their easy DIY's.  We made the wax paper flowers and put them on the Christmas garland wreaths. They were so easy and look fantastic.
